Miles is asked about his plans for the 2nd Album Release to which he responded “no – i think we’re gonna release a new single, hopefully just after summer, the album is probably going to be in early Jan (2013) or something like that, but I’ve gotta keep putting new tunes out there, keep that ball rolling”

It looks like we aren't going to get the 2nd album until January 2013!

Big shame we are going to have to wait so long, i really thought it would be out before the end of this year!

yeah that's long but on the other hand, it gives me time to get back all the money i've spent for him, to see him again for the 2nd tour
and if we have a new single this autumn, it will help for the waiting :-)(:

Yeah no bad thing in that respect, this year is flying for me, so it will be a matter of time!

I guess then probably no more touring after festival season ends until around the new album release otherwise he would be touring the same material for almost 2 years which would be a big overkill, i just hope the momentum he started last year isn't lost by the time the new album comes out, sadly people are more flippant in their musical tastes these days and more prone to swap from listening to artists if they aren't kept engaged in the meantime.

Oh well lets look forward to the new single coming out, at least we have that to look forward to in the meantime.

I always thought that it's really fast for a new album. I mean, he just went into the studio a few weeks ago and it will take time to get ready. And I will wait a few month more, I think that the album will be more good than if he takes more time in it :-)

he's amazing in live, everybody says that after a gig so, i think that even if he stays away from the stage for a while, people will still follow him!
and maybe, as the 2nd album will be more awesome than the first , he's gonna win new fans

Plus, there are some big albums planned for the end of this year (muse for instance) so it's better for Miles to release his album in a more "calm" period...

WOW, what amazing news! I'm really glad that there'll be a new album, even though I thought he wanted to release it earlier but nevertheless I'm sure the album will sound a lot better if he takes his time and works it out properly

We catch up with Miles Kane at the Isle Of Wight Festival 2012 about his new EP, what we can expect from his next album, working with Paul Weller and the future of the Last Shadow Puppets.

Its a good interview - main points.

When asked about rumours that the album is due out in January 2013 - he says "hopefully it will be out before that" but then goes on to say "hopefully get out another single before the end of the year" he's got 15 new tracks for the 2nd album, hopes to record it later in the year and hopefully get it out next year (contradicts what he answered in the 1st question) but he said that he "wants the album to be perfect, and on the money"

He is then asked about working with Paul Weller and how its going to which he responded they have done some songs and are choosing to keep them under wraps because its too early to release them yet.

He then gets asked the standard Last Shadow Puppets - he confirms that nothing will take place this year.

Miles should stop eating Bubblegum while an video interview. It's the second one where he does this. I think it's unfriedly for the interview and it looks aweful.

Maybe I should say that I really don't like this things. It's nothing more disgusting than chewing in my opinion.

Miles Kane to record new material later this year

Miles Kane has spoken about the importance of finding the right producer to work with on new material.
The singer says that he hoped to make his next record later this year and that it would be released in 2013.

Kane released his debut album Colour of the Trap in 2011 and reached number 11 in the UK album chart.

The 25-year-old has previously been a member of The Rascals and The Last Shadow Puppets, where he shared singing duties with Alex Turner of Arctic Monkeys.

The singer was talking to Newsbeat's entertainment reporter Steve Holden.

I think it looks cool. LG does it quite alot or used to do it in interview's.. Look alot more laidback

Cant say I'm a fan, don't think it looks cool, just a little bit rude, and possibly a tad arrogant, that said we don't see Miles Kane getting interviewed a lot doing it thankfully.

Yeah we just need the dates to get clarified, I've heard a rumour that he might be starting the album from scratch and possibly looking at a release later in Jan 2013 as previously mentioned.
