Managed to snag myself 4 tickets this morning! Very happy, new songs being released, potentially another album or EP at least, a few festival appearances for Miles maybe it looks like he's going to have another belter of a year!

Miles Kane is not a household name - not yet anyway. If a neutral observer happened to wander into Rock City on Friday night though, they may have been fooled into thinking somewhat differently.
From the moment one of the best dressed men in rock and roll walked out in a suave red blazer, strutted right to the front of stage and with the broadest of grins on his face gestured to the sold out crowd to get going, the tone was set.
Selling out Rock City is no mean feat for a man who, despite fame with The Last Shadow Puppets, has yet to receive mainstream popularity with his debut solo album, The Colour Of The Trap. It peaked at number 11 in the album charts last year, but the singles fared less well, and despite a big 'underworld' following, even his biggest fans must have been surprised to see just how much the crowd rejoiced as Kane embarked upon his set.
There was no easing in either, as he started with one of the biggest hits from his album, Rearrange, which the pulsing crowd were all too happy to sing along too.
That was quickly backed up by another crowd pleaser, Counting Down The Days and with well rehearsed precision Kane and his band accentuated all the big moments of the songs all night, whipping the crowd into a frenzy.
For a man that has only released the one album however, he was always going to have to head off in differing directions to fill his set and this he did well. There was a bold cover of Jacques Dutronc's The Responsible, which melded seamlessly in with the easy going feel of Kane's album, and more significantly, he also played his new single live for the first time - and the crowd, having done their homework, knew the majority of the words. Proof, if proof were needed, of Kane's rising stock and song writing prowess and also a nod to future success, with a second album rumoured to be in the pipeline for later this year.
The show flew by, and even as the less heralded album tracks were played in the middle of the set, the crowd's attention never once wavered. They were rewarded by a superb finale, as Kane gave a superb rendition of his biggest hit Inhaler, before coming back on for a richly deserved encore to play Come Closer - a song the fans sung to entice him back out on stage.
A true showman, Kane started his first solo tour with a bang, and those inside Rock City were lucky to have been there. If his second album is to be an improvement upon the first, then he can expect to sell out much quicker next time - and begin to be considered a true household name.
