Miles Kane announces Club Show
Miles Kane has confirmed details of a one off club show in London later this month.
Parting company with The Rascals, Miles Kane began to focus on life as a solo artist. Yet this isn’t some acoustic clad balladeer, instead the Liverpool songwriter is crafting yet more indie epics.
Recent single ‘Inhaler’ is a case in point. From the off a jagged ball of energy, it rocks and rolls like the best rock singles. Miles Kane has been able to hone his songwriting, producing something which British guitar music has arguably been lacking for some time.
Edgy and with plenty of attitude, ‘Inhaler’ is a world away from insipid indie and ‘tell it like it is’ dole queue rock. Forming an all star live band, Miles Kane has previewed his new album at a series of solo shows.
Organising a lengthy British tour next year, the February shows come as the singer prepares to unveil his debut album. Taking a break before beginning the tour, Miles Kane will break cover for a one off London show.
Taking place at the Queen Of Hoxton, the intimate show is in partnership with This Feeling. A club night praised by both Noel Gallagher and Serge Pizzorno, the tiny date will see Miles Kane unveil his solo album “My Fantasy”.
Meanwhile, Diagram Of The Heart will play a live show while Hacienda legend Mike Pickering will play a DJ set.
Tickets are on sale now.

Miles Kane New album ‘My Fantasy’ was ‘emotional’
miles kane has told BBC Radio 1 that his new album was ‘emotional’ to record.

Former Rascals frontman miles kane says his new ‘solo’ project is the most challenging and “emotional” of his musical career.Miles Kane started writing after the break-up of his old band and is now glad to be back stronger and a little bit wiser.
“I had a bit of a comedown”, he admits. “So it took a while to get back into the flow… It’s been a complete journey.”
After help from Super Furry Animals’ Gruff Rhys and working on tracks in San Francisco, Kane’s released debut track Inhaler and has also done a few low-key gigs.
“They’ve only been a few hundred capacity”, he explains. “But the kids seem to be having it.
“It’s hard when you’re playing a set and no-one has heard any of these songs. I’m just glad people are there and are digging it.”
He says the singalong-friendly rock of Inhaler is repeated on some of the album’s other tunes, which he proudly describes as “sounding huge”.
“It’s all very catchy, but there’s all sorts on there. The next single, Come Closer, is a sort of sexy, quite T-Rex song.
“It’s a real red-lit, midnight vibe.”
Puppets ‘on hold’Ex-Oasis man Noel Gallagher has also lent his harmonies to “boost” one of the tracks on the album.
Kane says it worked out well as he had recently played guitar on one of Noel’s new solo tunes.
As for the 24-year-old’s other musical project – The Last Shadow Puppets – nothing’s set in stone about when they’ll record again.
But the three-piece (which includes Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner) are likely to re-form at some point.
“We’ll do another one”, Kane confirms.
“He [Alex Turner] is doing ‘Monkey 4′ and I’m having this.
“When the time is right we’ll write some more tunes.”
Miles Kane’s album is due for release in early 2011 and he is supporting The Courteeners on tour.

Miles Kane Working With Noel Gallagher
Former Oasis guitarist on new album
Miles Kane has been working with Noel Gallagher on his upcoming solo album.
Far from a household name, Miles Kane is one of the country’s most respected songwriters. From The Little Flames to The Last Shadow Puppets the Liverpool singer has impressed with several albums of acclaimed material.
Turning solo, Miles Kane could be set to achieve mainstream recognition. With his new single ‘Inhaler’ gaining some important airplay, hype is beginning to nestle around his debut solo album.
Recently playing a solo show at London’s Water Rats, Miles Kane told fans that Noel Gallagher features on a track named ‘My Fantasy’.
Speaking to BBC Newsbeat, the singer explained that he was “honoured” by the songwriter’s appearance. “I texted him (Gallagher) saying, ‘I need some icing on this tune,’ and he said, ‘Icing is what I do very well,’” he said.
“I’m very honoured that he did it. It’s a nice little touch.”
Meanwhile, Miles Kane has returned the favour by playing guitar on Noel Gallagher’s as yet unfinished solo album. The one time Rascals guitarist joined the Oasis exile for a series of recent sessions.
“I play guitar on one of his songs for his album” he said. “I was only in there for a couple of hours. I did my thing. That was in return for me going on his one.”
However fans shouldn’t expect to hear the new material any time soon. Noel Gallagher is taking an extended break to be with his family, and warned fans in September that any new material is a long way off.
“I’m moving house and my missus is nine months pregnant so I’m not doing anything until well into next year” he told the BBC.
Miles Kane is due to release ‘My Fantasy’ in the New Year.
